Drains Sluggish or Clogged? Remember FOG.

By Hurricane Staff March 24, 2021

Does your sink take forever to drain? Does it get clogged often? Here are some tips on how to prevent sluggish or clogged drains. Never FOG your drains. FOG – Fats, Oils, Grease. Never put these down your drains as they are the most frequent culprits of sluggish and clogged drains. Fats and grease may go down the drain as a liquid but they become solid as the silt and will clog your pipes. Oils coat your pipes and make them sluggish over time. These should be thrown out with the trash and never poured down your drains. If you find yourself with a clogged drain you can try using a plunger to clear the clog. If you don’t have plastic pipes you can also try pouring boiling water down the drain.
